The best is that, when it’s working at peak efficiency, it conveys the same sense of wonder and connectivity that exists within the Marvel Universe of publishing, where the events of one movie have a bearing on the story in another.

The worst is that, when it’s not working well, a given movie can start to seem like just a stepping stone to a future film, and not a satisfying experience in itself. Fortunately, the Studios team has largely avoided this happening–but it requires constant vigilance.
